Outside the box: Roadway safety

New research published in the scientific journal Current Biology found that more cougars led to fewer deer-car accidents on roadways.

Why? Researchers believe a higher number of predators, the cougars (pumas), affect the behavior of their prey which then keeps deer away from roadways.
